As of December 2025 all the below methods can be used to contact the Cave Clan. Joining information is in the last paragraph.

The CC membership has always been spread out through many sub-groups with different urbex interests.

YES! You can join more than one group, there is no exclusivity.

​Some groups are actively inviting new explorers and visitors/media to join them and some are not. During the winter season most underground explorers are in hiatus.

Don't be discouraged if one link is not actively responding or knocks you back, try another or contact an interstate rep.

As always be aware that urban exploring is a risky activity. Go with experienced people, know your environment and your physical limits.

  • The Toads are an active group of Melbourne explorers who have a lot of overlap between the CC communities. Several expo events are shared over the season. You will be invited to expos and social events soon after applying, but it is expected you participate a few times a year otherwise you'll need to reapply.​

  • The CC New Explorers group has a slower and more considered intake in line with agreed safety standards. Some people may prefer to join both CC and TT to choose which group best suits their needs.
